Members of the Senior Management and Board of Directors carry with them decades of experience in management and direct industry experience. The diversity of the members also allows a driving sense of innovation and dedication to perfection.
Officers
David Hanson, PE – CEO
Currently directly strategic planning and application engineering with the firm. Mr. Hanson has served as president of SyncroFlo since 1973. He is a Charter member of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers, a former Chair of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America, Booster Club, and has served on the committee appointed by the Governor of Georgia to write the State Plumbing Code. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer. He enjoys woodworking and tennis.
John Kahren – President
He focuses on growing sales, developing strategic alliances, and working closely with sales representatives for the firm. John spent most of his 20 year career with Peerless Pump. He held several positions for the company, advancing to Vice President for Sales and Marketing. He then joined Garlock Seals as V.P. of Sales and Marketing. In 2004, he became the V.P. of Sales and Marketing at SyncroFlo. In 2006, he became President. He is an avid golfer.
Richard Hanson – Vice President of Business Development
He currently helps develop marketing initiatives and helps with strategic business planning for SyncroFlo. Richard is a 1989 engineering graduate of Georgia Tech. He has worked in the plumbing industry all his life, as a salesman, marketer, designer, industrial engineer, computer programmer, and manager.
Board of Directors
Tom Williams
Past president of the Construction Division of McKenney’s, Inc., a mechanical contracting and engineering company headquartered in Atlanta, GA. He has long been involved in the Mechanical Contractors Association of America, including president in 2003. He teaches several new project profitability seminars for MCAA. During his years as a mechanical contractor, Williams says that he bid and built everything from a one-hole outhouse in the mountains of North Carolina to an aquarium in Atlanta.
Michael Gerster
General Manager of WIKA Instrument, a supplier to SyncroFlo. Mr. Gerster joined WIKA Instrument Corporation in October 1998.Today, WIKA Instrument Corporation is not only WIKA’s biggest manufacturing subsidiary, but also the most advanced in the transition to lean manufacturing, amongst 8 other global manufacturing sites. Mr. Gerstner originates from Cologne, Germany and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering for tooling machines from the University of Cologne and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Siegen University. He has lived and worked in Germany, Luxembourg and France.
Don Luger, PE
He is the past Chair, President and CEO of an engineering, design and construction firm employing over 3,000 people in 45 offices worldwide. Mr. Luger received his master’s degree in civil engineering from Auburn University, and completed the Executive Program at Stanford University.
