Gator Startup Procedure
GATOR START UP PROCEDURE
The following must be verified before energizing the equipment:
1) Line power matches the system as provided
2) Control mode, whether relay start/stop or pressure start/flow stop, must be confirmed and properly connected
3) If a negative lift application, a properly sized foot valve must be installed, prime sustaining option should be connected and properly set and the suction piping must meet industry standards of installation (see pump section of IOM).
Caution: Dangerous voltage and pressure may be present during start up procedures. Do not proceed without confirming safe conditions exist and that proper procedures are followed.
1) With power verified with a voltmeter, tighten all wiring connections inside the control panel
2) Line voltage
L1-L2______ L1-L3 ______ L2-L3 ______ L1-Gr ______ L2-Gr ______ L3-Gr______
3) Motor rotation - clockwise from top of motor “bump” motor in hand.
Rotation correct ________
If incorrect; 3 phase - change any two incoming leads,
1 phase - contact SyncroFlo Support Technician
4a) If system inlet is a negative lift condition, confirm that the suction line is full of water and that the foot valve is closing properly. Such systems require a prime sustaining assembly.
Is prime sustaining installed ?________ If yes, when the system is charged the regulator must be set to 10-15 psi. Record prime sustaining pressure with pump off. __________ psi
4b) If system inlet is positive pressure record inlet pressure with pump off ______ psi.
