Pressure Switch Adjustment

Pressure Switch Adjustment

To set any switch, do not use the printed scale on the pressure switch. Always adjust to the gauge that you used to set the PRV’s.

To set any “low” switch (e.g. low system or low suction)

1. Adjust the switch to the lower end of the scale.

2. Trap a pressure higher than the setpoint on the gauge and switch.

3. Bleed off the pressure (usually done by loosening a tubing fitting) until the setpoint pressure is reached, as indicated by the gauge.

4. Raise the switch adjustment until the programmable controller input shows that the contact has been made.

To set any “high” switch (e.g. high system or high suction)

1. Adjust the switch to the higher end of the scale.

2. Trap a pressure higher than the setpoint on the gauge and switch.

3. Bleed off the pressure (usually done by loosening a tubing fitting) until the setpoint pressure is reached, as indicated by the gauge.

4. Lower the switch adjustment until the programmable controller input shows that the contact has been made.
